The first circular supermarket in the Netherlands is in Gouda! The store was realized on the basis of a so called ‘materials passport’ to guarantee reuse in the future. The supermarket is built demountable, with 70% of recycled steel, concrete floor with a basis of 50% recycled raw material, moveable walls, baked materials instead of sprayed, circular inventory and finally a reused cash register. Furthermore, energy-efficient measures have been taken, such as solar panels, LED lighting, etc.
